A cliff-edge suite

Positano·Ravello·The water
The coast road is for arriving. After that, the Amalfi is best read from the water.
The Amalfi Coast punishes the hurried: one road, high season, everyone moving at once. So this sketch barely uses the road at all. A cliff-edge suite becomes your fixed point, and the sea becomes your corridor — a private launch waiting at the dock whenever a town, a cove or a lunch calls.
In between: Ravello’s gardens and evening chamber music, a walk along the Path of the Gods before the heat, and a lemon grove where lunch takes three hours because it should.
This is a sketch, not a package. Dates, pace, houses and tables all bend around who’s travelling — no two versions of this journey have ever left the studio the same.
A private car from Naples or Rome delivers you to a suite carved into the cliff — terrace, sea, silence. The only plan tonight is dinner on a terrace in Positano, ten minutes and one thousand steps of view away.
The launch idles at the dock at ten. From there the coast rearranges itself: grottoes lit from below, fishing villages you’d never reach by road, a swim wherever the water looks best, lunch in a cove where the kitchen is reached by ladder. Skipper’s local; anchor drops where you point.
Ravello sits above the heat and the noise. Morning in the gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone — the Terrace of Infinity, precisely named — then an unhurried lunch, and in the evening, chamber music with the sea as the fourth wall.
Out early on the Path of the Gods — the coast from above, goats included — finishing before the sun means it. Reward: a family lemon grove where lunch is whatever the garden gave that morning, and limoncello is a verb. Afternoon at the pool, or a cooking session if your hands are restless.
A slow start, then the launch once more — this time toward Capri’s cliffs for a last swim off the Faraglioni, or simply drifting below your own coastline one final time. Farewell dinner back on the cliff, lights of the fishing boats stitching the dark.

For travellers who prefer gardens to beach clubs: eleven rooms, a cloister, and that view from the Terrace of Infinity next door.
Houses are named in your proposal — we hold allocations at a handful of properties we know room by room.
Private transfers from Naples or Rome, and a skipper on call — the coast road used exactly once in each direction.
A skipper born in the bay, a walking guide, a lemon farmer and a cook — people we’d invite to dinner.
Balustrade tables, concert seats and beach-club day beds held in your name before you land.
One WhatsApp thread, answered by a person in Rome, for anything — from sea state to a fourth seat at dinner.
A single itinerary designer from first sketch to the flight home — no handovers, no call centres.
Boat days move with the forecast, not the other way round — the itinerary reshuffles itself and your tables follow.
